Enjoying the cotton while you can

Cotton flourishes in the fields around Hannah from October into December. I call it Southern Snow. There are likely others things that go by that name, but cotton fields create my winter-white backdrop just like drifts of snow do elsewhere. Right now, some folks already have their fill of snow. At least with cotton we don't have to shovel it or drive over it.

These days, since we don't pick it by hand, we just get to enjoy it. While we can. While it's in season.

Some things don't last all year. Some things come and go. You know what I mean?

Before long the cotton will be harvested, the ground will be plowed and all that will remain is a few sticks and puffs. Whatever cotton is in your life, enjoy it while you have it.
